[Macau, Sep. 5, 2019] – With a goal to conduct a quality assurance on the safety of staff, guests and visitors to the landmark property, Hotel Lisboa Macau has successfully completed a fire drill with the support of The Macau Fire Services Department which jointly executed a Fire Drill and Evacuation process for approximately 250 members in the afternoon of September 5, 2019.

The emergency scenario simulated a fire in one of the Hotel’s restaurant kitchen with one staff injured. Hotel’s emergency and first aid team arrived the scene, attempted to extinguish the fire and treat the staff whilst fire seems out of controllable situation then they alerting the fire alarm. Macau Fire Services Department arrived to support and dispatched brigades and ambulances. The other Hotel participants immediately evacuated to designated locations through their nearest staircase exit seamlessly and reported the final number of arrivals.

After the drill, respective Hotel Department Heads reviewed the participant’s evacuation time consumed to arrive at assembly point has achieved the expected timeframe as well as met the overall emergency-response readiness, the Hotel is grateful to have Macau Fire Services Department’s support which made a successful drill.  With over 900 rooms and suites, shopping arcades and offices at the Hotel’s premises are all well-equipped with smoke detectors, sprinklers as well as the latest fire-fighting equipment, in accordance with local standards and requirements.
