HOTEL LISBOA : Guincho a Galera Presents The Early Summer Tasting Menu
[Immediate Release – Macau, 26 April 2019] – Macau is famous for the Portuguese cuisine, Guincho a Galera at Hotel Lisboa is the only restaurant in Asia to offer fine- dining Portuguese cuisine. The latest launch of Early Summer’s “Tasting Menu” uses the seasonal ingredients and all 5-courses are prepared with finest and authentic Portuguese selections by culinary team; the Menu is available from now until 30 June 2019 for lunch and dinner, priced at MOP580 per person with top-notch service has brought a fantastic dining experience for guests.
Guincho a Galera is first Michelin-starred restaurant “Fortaleza do Guincho” from Portugal to open a branch abroad, has been awarded “South China Morning Post’s 100 Top Tables” for five consecutive years since 2015, “Tatler Best Restaurant Guide” as one of the top 20 restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau in 2013 and 2014, “China’s wine list of the Year Awards 2016 and 2017”.
The 5-course Early Summer’s “Tasting Menu”
Sea Bass with gelatine “gaspacho”
The Chef picks the best seasonal ingredients for this appetizer: the crispy Bacalhau crust is placed on the Sea Bass with attractive smell; the base is a jelly-like soup composed of red pepper sauce, pickled olive, tomato and cucumber, serving unique freshness for this summer.
Black chicken consomme with quail egg and black truffle
This traditional soup is meticulously prepared with nutritious black chicken which provide a sweet taste as well as thickness, the surprising aroma arises from quail egg, vegetables and French black truffle, certainly linger in one’s mouth.
Charcoal grilled Bacalhau with scrambled egg and asparagus
This traditional Portuguese main course – Bacalhau, grilled by charcoal to reach its natural salty flavor mixing with mashed potatoes, asparagus and scrambled egg to the perfect texture and balance on overall taste.
Roasted T-bone lamb chop with pommes anna and green herbs
The luscious T-bone lamp chop provides attractive aroma after grilling and putting green herbs on it; the pommes anna is made from potatoes which offers a perfect mixture for guests.

Mr. Simon Li is from Hong Kong, has over 30 years of international culinary experience and he is the expertise in Portuguese cooking who has been assigned as Head Chef and Executive Chef for many top fine-dining restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau. Chef Simon is good at investigating Portuguese cuisine and sharing with guests by gaining the culinary experiences and culture in different countries.
